ACM Pune Professional Chapter is happy to announce its 1st Annual Conference COMPUTE 2012. The theme for Compute 2012’s is INTELLIGENT & SCALABLE SYSTEM TECHNOLOGIES. The conference will have two tracks Knowledge and Information Retrieval Track and High Performance Computing track.

COMPUTE2012 will be held at YASHADA, Pune on January 23rd and 24th 2012. Prof. R. K. Shyamsunder, TIFR, Mumbai and Dr. Lokendra Shastri, Infosys Ltd are general co-chairs for COMPUTE 2012.

COMPUTE 12 Program includes Invited and Key notes talks, tutorials, Panel discussions and Paper presentations. Dr. Ajay Bhushan Pandey (Deputy Director General of Unique Identity Authority of India (UIDAI) and Dr. Pushpak Bhattacharyya, (Indian Institute of Technology Bombay) have confirmed their presence for the event.

COMPUTE 2012 will be followed by ACM India Annual Event, which will be held at Chandrasekhar Auditorium, IUCAA University of Pune on 25th January 2012.  ACM India organizes Annual Meet which is attended by ACM Turing Award winners, ACM Office Bearers, ACM India members, and researchers. 2011 Annual Meet event was hosted by ACM Hyderabad Chapter. We have received confirmation from N. R. Narayana Murthy (Chairman Emeritus, Infosys), M. Frans Kaashoek (ACM-Infosys Foundation Award, 2011), Alain Chesnais (President ACM), John White (CEO, ACM), and a few more confirmations are awaited.
